3rd Annual Fall Oyster Crawl on the Chesapeake Bay Wine Trail
Event Date: Sunday, November 8, 2015
Join the wineries of the Chesapeake Bay Wine Trail for our 3rd Annual Fall Oyster Crawl on Sunday, November 8, 2015! Each participating winery will be offering a delicious oyster dish to pair with their wines. After experiencing the Oyster Crawl, you too will agree that “Virginia is for Lovers”… of wine and oysters!
Virginia is quickly becoming known as the Oyster Capital of the East Coast and November has officially been named “Virginia Oyster Month.” Celebrate it with wine & oyster pairings along our Wine Trail, which has been voted the #1 Wine Trail in Eastern VA by the readers of Virginia Living Magazine!
Normal wine tasting fees will apply at each winery and oysters will be available for sale. Here is the current list of participating wineries (listed in alphabetical order), several of which are on the Northern Neck Artisan Trail with two currently on the newly formed and enrolling Virginia Oyster Trail:
- Athena Vineyards and Winery
- Belle Mount Vineyards
- Dog and Oyster Vineyard
- General’s Ridge Vineyard
- Good Luck Cellars
- Ingleside Vineyards
- Oak Crest Vineyard & Winery
- Vault Field Vineyards
Several other Northern Neck Artisan Trail sites will also be participating in this event. Monroe Bay Inn B&B in Colonial Beach, VA will be offering a 15% discount to guests attending the Fall Oyster Crawl.
And Locust Farm Windsors of Montross, VA, featuring handmade chairs by Artisans Center of Virginia Juried Artisan, Bill Jenkins, will be open to the public during the Crawl.
Want to make a weekend of it? Several of our wineries will be serving oysters all weekend. Please check our event page for current menus and participation: http://chesapeakebaywinetrail.com/events/fall-oyster-crawl-2015/
