All across the county, our trail sites are featuring a diverse collection of special events, artist classes, farm-to-table workshops, exclusive open studio experiences, special package rates for lodging, culinary highlights, wonderful wines and more!

As most of the sites throughout the weekend are on our Artisan Trail, you can click their links below to be directed to more information on their activities year ‘round.  And, be sure to stop in at the Bedford Area Welcome Center to pick up a trail map/brochure the minute you hit the region!

A monthly evening of art openings, fine dining, specialty shops, and live music throughout the historic Town of Bedford. 5:00-8:00 pm


Goose Creek Studio Trail Site #29 (302 Court Street, Bedford, VA 24523)

Big Times 5 by Double Line Painters of the Blue Ridge – Our June 2nd Friday event will feature work by the Double Line Painters of the Blue Ridge. In addition, you can find art and crafts by dozens of local artists. 5:00-8:00 pm


The Electric Company Trail Site# 28 (207 East Depot Street, Bedford, VA 24523)

“Isty Bitsy” Exhibit – The Artist on Depot and The Electric Company Art and More galleries, at 207 E. Depot St. in Bedford would like to invite you to our 4th Annual “Itsy Bitsy” exhibit in our gallery. The “Itsy Bitsy” exhibit will be displayed from June 1st to June 30th.  “Itsy Bitsy” has all small works 6×6 or smaller for sale. Pieces are 2D and 3D.  The Gallery is open Wednesdays through Saturday, 11 AM to 5 PM.

Robert ShepperdLandscape, Historical Buildings, Peak of Otter Scenes and More. Born in Miami, Florida, Shepperd and his family moved to central Virginia in 1968. In 1986, he learned to paint realistic landscapes in acrylics after he took a class from the late artist Buck Tyree. Robert Shepperd resides in the small town of Evington, Virginia.  The Electric Company Art Gallery on 207 E. Depot St. in Bedford is happy to present his works for the month of June.  Open reception: 5:00-8:00 pm

Forest Farmers Market Trail Site #38 (15583 Forest Road, Forest, VA 24551)

Weekly Farmers Market – Join us for our open air, producer-only market selling vegetables, fruit, meat, baked goods, plants and artisan crafts. 8:00 am-12:00 pm


Goose Creek Studio Trail Site #29 (302 Court Street, Bedford, VA 24523)

Old Jail Hill Art Space Open House – Old Jail Hill Art Space, on the 2nd Floor of Goose Creek Studio, features work space and display space for seven different artists. Tour the studios, meet the artists, and see what new creations they are working on. 10:00 am – 2:00 pm


Hickory Hill Vineyards Trail Site # (1722 Hickory Cove Lane, Moneta, VA 24121)

Sunset Saturday – Saturday evenings in the summer vineyard ring with good music, good conversation and dancing fireflies. Hickory Hill’s Sunset Saturdays music series are a popular local lake tradition with our 12th season in 2016.  Bring Lawn chairs or a blanket and a picnic. Enjoy our fine wines, grown and made right here by the glass or bottle to enjoy with your fare.

Relax, sit back and enjoy the music of local artists as the sun fades and the stars slowly pop out in the sky.  $10 General Admission. Kids and Designated Drivers are free.  Scheduled to perform: Ed McNamara. 7:00-10:00 pm
