We salute active and former members of the U.S. Armed Forces and thank them for their service! 

Rappahannock County Artisan Trail members invite you to indulge in creating your own art and crafts, browsing art exhibitions, supporting animal welfare, enjoying live entertainment and shopping for holiday gifts!  Also, enjoy culinary experiences, a variety of delicious beers or wine-tasting while appreciating the beautiful rolling countryside and mountains.

Belle Meade School – Trail Site #79  (353 F.T. Valley Rd., Sperryville, 22740)

Crop in the Country – Work on your craft of choice at your own 5’ round table. Marsha Melkonian’s Stampin’ Up team will be on site with supplies for purchase and projects to try.  Two felting classes with local fiber artist Regina Yurkonis will be on Saturday.  Meals provided from dinner Friday to lunch on Sunday.  Fee $200.   Belle Meade’s beautiful Bed & Breakfast offers comfortable rooms on site. Blue Ridge Artisans – Spirit Trail Fiberworks – Trail Site #106 (12018 B Lee Highway, Sperryville, VA 22740)

Knit and Purr! Purchase yarn or silk scarves and 20% of the proceeds will be donated to our local animal shelters: Rappahannock Animal Welfare League (RAWL) and RappCats (10% to each).  A worthy cause, and a great opportunity to purchase some unique Holiday gifts!  We feature local artists’ work in ceramics, glass, jewelry, fine art paintings, prints, as well as hand-dyed yarn and silk scarves. Open 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.




Eastwoods Nursery  Trail Site #55 (634 Long Mountain Road, Washington, Va. 22747)

Trees! Trees! Trees!  We are here to answer questions, help visitors select trees for particular spaces, and just enjoy the Fall weather.  Maples keep their leaves longer than many trees so there should be some good color. Thinking about Christmas?  We have gift certificates on hand!   There will be signs on Rt. 211 to direct you toward the nursery.  10 a.m. – 4 p.m.



Little Washington Winery – Trail Site #60 (72 Christmas Tree Lane, Washington, VA 22740)

Wine Bootcamp – Become a certified wine snob in this two-hour class.  The session includes lots of aha moments – a molecular sandwich pairing, three chocolate pairings and the Dirt Road Wine Tour!  Register online and save 50% with coupon code: wb358   Class from 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.  Winery open until 5 p.m.




Sperryville ARTists Cooperative  – Trail Site #44  (Sperryville ARTist Cooperative, 3 River Lane, Sperryville, VA 22740)

Adam Disbrow will create a live painting and discuss the meaning behind his art and the impact it has on society.  Disbrow’s work is a commentary on the history and culture of man. The paintings address current and ancient issues of relationship, spirituality, sexuality, beauty, duality, relativism, nature, and dominion. Freedom, entropy, life, death, and time are key concepts. Each piece is intended to draw attention to different aspects of humanity in order to provoke analysis and deeper understanding.  Free event  1- 3 p.m. 



Magnolia Vineyards and Winery – Trail Site #61 (200 Viewtown Rd, Amissville, VA 20106)

Gemstones, Beads, and Pearls – Christmas is just around the corner and we’re featuring handmade jewelry creations by Gina of Ridge Line Designs. Get one-of-a-kind necklaces, earrings and bracelets, set in sterling silver or 14k gold.  Check out semi-precious stones and a selection of Estate Jewelry from antique to modern.   From 11:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Music Man – Tom Robbins is a solo artist who hails from Natchez, Mississippi, and has been a bluesman for the past 25 years.  He plays traditional folk blues from the Delta to the electric sound of Chicago.  Normal $10 tasting fee applies.   Open 2 – 5 p.m.  


Middle Street Gallery  – Trail Site #45 ( 31 Main Street, Sperryville, VA 22740)

Member Exhibition  – Enjoy a group exhibition with strong and clear artistic vision by twenty accomplished artists who are members of the gallery.  Artists work in a full range of media and their works encompass many art forms.  Browse from landscape to abstract to still life to sculptural.  Exhibition runs through the month of November.   Open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.




River District Potters  – Trail Site #32 (7 River Lane, Studio 7B Sperryville, VA 22740)

Make an Ornament – Potters will be in the studio helping guests make and paint holiday ornaments. Bring your children or your older self. Free! Studio open 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
