Griffin Tavern – Trail Site #74 (659 Zachary Taylor Hwy, Flint Hill, VA 22627)
A Little Night Music – Elizabeth Lawrence Band. Lawrence’s eclectic style and powerful voice cause her to be compared to Bonnie Raitt, Linda Ronstadt and Susan Tedeschi. With her band’s tight solid rhythm and two studio albums under her belt, she has emerged as a local favorite. Performing 8:30 p.m. Open 11:30 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Little Washington Winery – Trail Site #60 (72 Christmas Tree Lane, Washington, VA 22740)
Wine Bootcamp – Become a certified wine snob in this two-hour class. The session includes lots of aha moments – a molecular sandwich pairing, three chocolate pairings and the Dirt Road Wine Tour! Register online: $20 with coupon code: wb358 Class from 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Winery open until 5 p.m.
Magnolia Vineyards and Winery – Trail Site #61 (200 Viewtown Rd, Amissville, VA 20106)
Holiday Cork Craft! Help put our used corks to good use! Make your own ornaments and holiday decorations! No reservations required. $5 per craft and we will provide instruction and all of the supplies! 11:30-5:30 p.m.
Middle Street Gallery – Trail Site #45 (25 Middle St., Washington, VA 22747)
Doodling in the Dark – Rosabel Goodman-Everard Solo Exhibit, December 1, 2017 – January 14, 2018. There is only one remedy for darkness: light. What brings light? For this artist it is beauty, color, pattern, the freedom to explore new things. I set out to pour those ingredients onto canvases and panels and it worked. Artist’s Reception: Saturday, December 9, 2017 – 3-5 p.m. Open 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Old Rag Photography – Trail Site #46 (12625 Lee Hwy Washington, VA 22747)
Holiday Show and Celebration – Gallery members will be on hand through the day with holiday sweets and witty conversation about photography and other topics. Open 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Quievremont Winery – Trail Site #64 (115 Reality Farm Ln. #335, Washington, VA 22747)
Wine, Music and More – Come for a wine tasting and stay for the music! Forrest and Jonathan Marquisee will be playing their original folk and country music from 3 to 6 p.m. Winery hours are noon to 7 p.m. However, stay after hours for a 7:30 p.m. talk on the evolution of firearms during the interwar period, presented by CPT Matthew DiRisio, United States Army. 5% off glasses of wine during the talk.
Rappahannock Cellars – Trail Site #63 (14437 Hume RD, Huntly, VA 22640)
Christmas At The Cellars – Join us for mulled wine and Christmas tunes, and shop our selection of fine wines and spirits for holiday gifts! Enjoy the warmth and hospitality that only a family nurtured winery can provide. Open 11:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
River District Potters –Trail Site #32 (7 River Lane, Studio 3B, Sperryville, VA 22740)
Make and Take – Painting on clay is fun! Make an ornament for your home or one to give as a gift. Potters will guide you in a workshop from 1 – 3 p.m. Free! Open 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Blue Ridge Artisans – Trail Site #106 (12018-B Lee Highway, Sperryville, VA 22740)
Holiday Shopping – Visit our gallery and shop for that special, one-of-a-kind holiday gift, created by local artists! We feature the work of Rappahannock artists in ceramics, glass, jewelry, woodworking, printmaking, hand-dyed silk scarves, hand-dyed luxury yarns and fine art paintings in oil and acrylic. A unique selection of gifts! Enjoy hot mulled cider, a selection of teas and coffees, and treats while you browse our beautiful shop. Open 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Warmglass Designs – Trail site #109 – (located at Ginger Hill Antiques, 12625 Lee Hwy Washington, VA 22747)
Suncatcher/Ornament – Make a suncatcher or holiday ornament. Create your own design, arranging colorful glass on a 4” round clear base. Items are glued, and fired offsite. All ornaments will be ready for pick-up the following Thursday at Ginger Hill. All tools and materials are supplied. Fee: $20 Workshop: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Studio open til 4 p.m.
