Here’s what’s happening May 11, 2019:

 

De’Danann Glassworks – 23 Spyder Mountain, Sperryville, VA  22740

Stepping Stones are fun to have in any garden or walkway. In this workshop you will make an 8” x 8” stepping stone from stained glass pieces. You will assemble the artwork and pour the cement into the stone molds. The stepping stones will be
ready to pick up the next day. This is a great workshop for all ages. Time: 1:00 – 4:30 Fee: $38.00.    Please call Patricia Brennan 540-987-8615 to register or for more information.

 

Eastwoods Nursery –  634 Long Mountain Rd, Washington, VA 22747

​Eastwoods Nursery will be open for drop-in visitors and customers for three days, Fri-Sun, May 10-12. Otherwise we are open by appointment. Come with questions, to buy or just to look around and enjoy.   We will have directional signs from Rt. 211.  10-4 pm Fri and Sat and 10-3 pm Sunday.

 

 

Gray Ghost Vineyards – 14706 Lee Hwy. Amissville, VA 20106

We are beginning the Mother’s Day festivities a day early! Treat your Mom to a relaxing afternoon with live music at Gray Ghost. The winery is open from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm with live music from 1:00-4:00 pm. Picnics welcome. Free admission, wine tastings only $5 per person.

Fun things for Mom and the family!  Take in a free Nantucket lightship basket demonstration from 11 to 3 pm and join the fused glass workshop making three colorful garden stakes from 11 to 2 pm. $50 fee.  Jazz pianist Bill Harris entrtains from 2 to 5 pm.  Relax as you browse our shops and galleries.

Kevin Adams  – 337A Gay St., Washington, VA 22747

Kevin ​Adams unveils new work from Virginia and his travels elsewhere in an exhibition at Gay Street Gallery. Also featured in the exhibition are colorful and bold still life and landscape paintings by Elizabeth Geiger and striking wood sculptures by Jeffrey Cooper.

Kevin is a member of New York City’s Salmagundi Club, the oldest association of artists in the U.S., and one of his Virginia landscapes currently is featured in an exhibition at the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art in Virginia Beach, Va.   10 am – 5 pm daily except Tuesday.

Join in the fun with this fused glass workshop for ages 12 and up from 11 to 2 pm..  Make 3 colorful glass garden stakes 8” x 1.5”.   Choose 3 base colors and decorate with colorful pieces of glass any way you want.
